Welcome

Hi and welcome!  I'm Jo from Orchard Wool -  a tiny one woman venture set up to support a small mixed flock of Jacob sheep and Alpaca living in an orchard in Devon, in the south west of England.

Alpacas and Jacob sheep both grow fleeces in a variety of natural colours from pale to dark greys, tans and browns.

I hand pick and colour sort the fleeces before they are spun in Yorkshire into soft, Alpaca / Jacob Wool blended yarns, in a range of natural colours.

In addition to the yarn, I make and sell a variety of  knits, kits and other woolly related  items. 

I also over dye some of the yarn with natural dyes prepared from plants grown in my garden in Bristol.  

Small quantities of this yarn are sometimes for sale too, along with hand spun blends, fibre, natural plant dye powders, young dye plants and seeds.
